UPDATE ON NEPALESE IRISH STUDENTS

I congratulate the Nepalese Irish students and their friends on the organisation of relief for the tragedy in Nepal caused by the earthquakes. I am honoured to be associated with their work. On its way to Nepal is 300kg of supplies including 200 blankets, 150 sleeping bags, tents and large bags of rice. This collection reached the UK on 12th May. It was sent through the Gurka TV Channel who are collaborating and assisting to deliver support to Nepal. It is expected that it will reach Nepal by 17th May. Children First is the organisation in Nepal that will distribute the collection. I wish the work of the students continued support to assist in the relief of family, friends and fellow citizens of Nepal.
